Mahogany Cruiser "Kitty" This mahogany cruiser from the Norwegian shipyard Hansen & Arnutzen is a unique piece crafted entirely by hand. The hull and superstructures are made of mahogany on oak. The deck is teak and the entire interior is mahogany. Access to the "Kitty" is through the stern. The wide gangway leads to the spacious cockpit with the helm station. Towards the stern, the large terrace invites you to linger. Below the terrace is the large owner's cabin with two single beds and a private bathroom. Moving towards the bow, you enter the salon with convertible seating and the galley with a large refrigerator with freezer, gas stove, and sink. Ahead of the bow cabin with V-berths, there is a second bathroom to starboard with an electric toilet and sink. Throughout the boat, there are ample cabinets, compartments, and storage spaces, allowing for longer stays and vacations. The "Kitty" is equipped with two powerful 6-cylinder Cummins diesel engines totaling approximately 428 HP. Both engines with their gearboxes run smoothly and proved their reliability during the transfer from Norway to Germany in 2020. In recent years, significant investments have been made in the cruiser, including updates such as new batteries for the 12V and 24V systems with corresponding chargers. There is a new diesel heater, an anchor winch with anchor, and stainless steel davits that can still be installed. In June 2023, the underwater hull was completely rebuilt at the Laboe shipyard. The local boat builder confirmed the good structural condition of the boat and especially the hull. Due to health restrictions, the owner was unable to continue restoring the "Kitty." The hull above the waterline and the superstructures require fundamental refurbishment. The interior is nearly original and largely functional. Here too, it requires appropriate refurbishment and restoration.
