Sunseeker Manhattan 56 now in online auction. Everyone can bid until October 27, 2025. Sunseeker Manhattan 56 from 2002 – Flybridge motor yacht with spacious layout General overview of the ship The Sunseeker Manhattan 56 is a flybridge motor yacht built in 2002 by the renowned Sunseeker shipyard. This model is known for its spacious layout, distinctive lines, and functional sailing characteristics. With a length of 17.90 meters and a beam of 4.59 meters, the ship offers ample living space on board for longer stays on the water. The hull is made of composite material, contributing to a relatively low weight and a good balance between strength and maintenance needs. The yacht features a twin rudder configuration and is equipped with an electric bow thruster system, facilitating maneuverability in ports and when docking. The draft is 2.85 meters, making the ship suitable for use on the open sea. The Sunseeker Manhattan 56 is registered under the Croatian flag, and VAT has not been paid. Propulsion and technical specifications Onboard are two MAN MARINE D2848LE403 diesel engines, each with eight cylinders and an electric starting system. Both engines are from 2001 and have approximately 1400 running hours each. The engines are operational and provide powerful propulsion, suitable for both short trips and longer journeys. The onboard electrical systems operate at 12V, 24V, and 220V, allowing for a wide range of equipment and amenities. Onboard, there is an electric anchor winch with chain attachment and a hydraulic swim platform at the rear of the ship. This platform is designed to provide easy access to the water and can also be used for launching a tender. However, a tender is not included with this ship. Interior and accommodation The interior of the Sunseeker Manhattan 56 is designed with comfort and functionality in mind. There are six fixed berths spread across multiple cabins. The accommodation is equipped with air conditioning, which can also serve as heating. Additionally, there are amenities such as a shower, vacuum toilet, dining area, refrigerator, stove, microwave, mattresses, and hot water supply. The interior lining shows signs of wear or detachment in some places. Furthermore, there is an electrically operated window on the port side that is currently not functioning. The instrument panel on the flybridge shows signs of use, and the navigation system is outdated and defective. These elements may require attention from a future owner. Exterior equipment and deck gear The ship's exterior features a teak deck, bimini, exterior deck covers, outdoor cushions, a swim ladder, and a spacious swim platform. This equipment enhances deck comfort, both while sailing and at anchor. The flybridge is spacious and offers a good view while underway. The steering position on the flybridge is functional but shows signs of aging. Maintenance and technical condition The last time the ship was taken out of the water for maintenance was in 2024. In the same year, an antifouling treatment was carried out. The onboard generator is currently non-operational and requires overhaul. The safety equipment includes a life raft, but its inspection date has expired. An electric bilge pump is present for water drainage in the engine room or other compartments. Use and sailing area The Sunseeker Manhattan 56 has been used for pleasure cruising at sea. The combination of powerful engines, a spacious flybridge, and a functional layout makes the ship suitable for both day trips and multi-day voyages. The documentation accompanying the ship includes a creation registration. Conclusion The 2002 Sunseeker Manhattan 56 offers a spacious and functional platform for motor yacht enthusiasts with a flybridge. With its nearly 18-meter length, twin engines, and extensive equipment, the ship is designed for comfortable stays and ease of navigation on open water. While there are some technical and cosmetic points to consider, the ship provides a solid foundation for further personalization or modernization.
