Built by the renowned shipyard Feadship Van Lent, a name internationally recognized for its craftsmanship and high-quality finishes. With a draft of 1.35 meters and an air draft of 3.35 meters, the yacht is suitable for both inland waters and coastal areas. Feadship Van Lent now in online auction. Everyone can bid until December 15, 2025. Interior and accommodation Inside, the yacht offers a headroom of 2 meters, providing a comfortable living space. The accommodation includes a forward cabin with two fixed berths, a toilet, and a sink. The salon features a large corner sofa with new cushions and covers, a spacious dining area with a U-shaped bench in blue faux leather, and ample storage. The galley is equipped with an electric oven, a microwave, a four-burner stove, and a large refrigerator with a recently replaced thermostat. In total, there are four fixed berths and six additional berths available. Aft, there is a space currently set up with two wide beds atop two large diesel tanks, each holding 3,500 liters. These tanks, positioned separately from the hull, were intended for long voyages, such as trips to the Mediterranean. If desired, these tanks can be removed to make room for a double bed. Technology and propulsion The yacht is powered by two 186 hp Perkins inboard diesel engines, both from 1966. The engines are electrically started and operational. The fuel tank has a capacity of 700 liters, with additional diesel tanks located beneath the aft sleeping area. The electrical system includes a battery charger, alternator, inverter, shore power connection, solar panels, and six batteries. Onboard voltage is distributed across 12V, 24V, and 220V systems. A hydraulic bow thruster facilitates maneuvering in harbors and narrow waterways. Navigation equipment comprises an AIS, autopilot, depth sounder, GPS, compass, log/speedometer, and VHF radio. The yacht is equipped with an autopilot and features dual controls, both inside and outside. Electrical systems and generator A water-cooled Kholer generator is installed onboard. It is functional, but due to the generator installation, part of the electrical system needs to be reconnected. Three electrical panels are present, including a 230V fuse box for shore power. The electrical systems are equipped with gauges such as a fuel tank gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer. Comfort and equipment For onboard comfort, the yacht is equipped with hot air heating with thermostat control. The sanitary facilities include a vacuum toilet with a 500-liter black water tank and a 500-liter fresh water tank. Exterior equipment includes a teak deck, bimini top, sprayhood, cockpit tent, cockpit table, pulpit and pushpit seats, swim ladder, swim platform, davits, and various fenders, including two ball fenders and six thick white fenders. History and special features This yacht has an intriguing history. It was repurchased through a broker from an English couple who sailed it in the Mediterranean for years. In 2022, the yacht underwent new hull plating in several areas, carried out by a shipyard. The original teak deck shows signs of age, with some renewed caulking in places. The stabilization system onboard is currently disabled due to the shallow waters in the Netherlands. The salon has been recently varnished three times with a two-component lacquer. The exterior cover is functional but shows signs of use on the inside. Beneath the floor, there are hatches providing access to the engine room. The salon also accommodates a chart table, TV and DVD connections, a radio-CD player, and a speaker system. Registration and documentation The yacht is registered in the Dutch Cadastre and holds an ICP. Extensive documentation is available, including ownership papers, a hull report, and a description of all electrical instruments. Navigation area and usage The Feadship Van Lent has been used for leisure cruising on lakes, ponds, rivers, and seas. The yacht offers ample comfort and space, with large sun decks and a spacious outdoor layout featuring an outdoor table and storage chests. The aft cabin offers possibilities for conversion into a double bed, depending on the preferences of the new owner. Conclusion With its classic lines, spacious layout, and comprehensive equipment, this 1966 Feadship Van Lent provides a solid foundation for those seeking a characterful motor yacht with history. The combination of steel construction, dual propulsion, and extensive amenities makes the yacht suitable for both short trips and longer voyages.
