For Sale: Targa 101 - LUNA You can now become the owner of this spacious Targa 101, a Finnish-built boat known for its high quality designed for the Nordic climate. It sails beautifully under both sail and motor, offering incredible value for a modest price. The major renovations are now complete — the engine has been fully refurbished, the rigging is in great shape, robust, and fully functional, and all cushions are brand new (both mattresses and fabric from a professional upholsterer). The 5-year-old teak deck all over is fantastic and ready for the next 20-30 years. This is a 33-foot sailing boat with a roomy aft cabin. The large cabin includes a forward cabin with two comfortable sleeping spaces, a good quarter berth, a seating area, a well-functioning galley, toilet with sink and holding tank, oil heater for warmth in the cabins, hot and cold water tanks. Fully refurbished Volvo Penta (25 hp), new shore power system, new professionally made cushions throughout, new teak deck throughout (professionally installed 5 years ago), and a 2-year-old fully covered cockpit tent as well as Lazy-Jack. About the boat: Length: 33.14 ft / 10.10 m Width: 10.17 ft / 3.10 m Draft: 5.35 ft / 1.63 m Manufacturer: Targa Yachts (FIN) Model: 101 Year: 1983 Engine: Volvo Penta MD11D = 25 hp About the boat's equipment and condition: Engine: completely refurbished and reliable Hull: nice freeboard with good gloss in the gelcoat and generally no damage or significant scratches The freeboard is equipped with longitudinal rubber fendering - practical and gentle on the hull. Almost new (5 years) full-glued teak deck throughout - top-quality work (deck, cockpit, and cabin are top-quality work estimated at a minimum of kr.150,000 – completely disproportionate to the boat's price) Below the waterline: no signs of previous damage or signs of fiberglass osmosis The iron keel is bolted down securely, and keel bolts have been inspected with no remarks. The propeller is a fully functional 2-blade folding propeller. Roller genoa (two genoa sails come with the boat - both older but definitely usable for cruising) One older mainsail - also completely usable. The boom is equipped with Lazy Jack (2 years old) I have renewed rigging and sails: two new halyards (for mainsail and spinnaker), block for spinnaker halyard at the top of the mast, installation of Lazy Jack system for easy raising and lowering of mainsail. One spinnaker that I have never tried. Cockpit tent/canopy (2 years old) Aft cabin with two comfortable sleeping spaces, forward cabin with two comfortable sleeping spaces, quarter berth (approx. 185 cm), seating areas accommodating 4-5 people (can convert to two sleeping spaces) Heating with oil heater that runs on diesel tank and battery power (can thus be used without starting the engine or shore power) New shore power system including RCD + battery charging system Hot water tank - heated when the engine runs and/or via power from batteries or shore power Cold water tank (capacity - I can't remember - but sufficient...) Diesel tank = 120 liters - has exclusively used marine diesel. Holding tank for toilet wastewater - with pumping out to sea. My improvements on the Targa: Completely new cushions everywhere = kr. 45,000 Engine refurbishment by the best local mechanic = approx kr. 65,000 New drive shaft and motor mounts renewed All hull penetrations have been renewed: WC (+ hoses), two sinks, two drains from cockpit, intake of seawater to engine via new heat exchanger. New generator (so batteries are charged via engine in operation) Establishment of shore power system including RCD panel + 220v outlet New battery pack (2 service batteries + 1 starter battery) Establishment of seawater filter (for engine cooling) New heat exchanger (for engine cooling) General cleanup of wiring - removal of old non-functional wires. Renovation of oil heater for space heating Major engine service including replacement of all filters, impeller, replacement of engine oil and gear oil Rudder removed and seals replaced; steering mechanism inspected to ensure everything is okay.
