Bavaria 34-2 (2002) – Seaworthy, well-maintained, and from the first owner Are you looking for a Bavaria 34-2 that has proven itself over the years as a reliable, comfortable, and seaworthy sailing yacht? Then this 2002 Bavaria 34-2 is definitely worth a viewing. This vessel comes from the first owner, who has meticulously maintained her since new and used her solely for private purposes. Thanks to her CE category A rating, this cruiser is designed for open sea and has demonstrated her qualities during voyages to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England, and Denmark. The design by J&J Design is known for its excellent sailing characteristics, comfortable handling, and practical layout. The deep fixed keel, Seldén roller furling system and mast, the helm, and the spacious cockpit make her suitable for both relaxed holiday trips and sporty sailing days. The rigging was renewed in 2017 and has been inspected annually since then. Additionally, the yacht features a Lion Sails mainsail and genoa from 2014, complemented by a lightly used asymmetrical spinnaker. On board, you will find a warmly finished mahogany interior with two full-sized cabins, a spacious saloon, and comfortable sleeping accommodations for four people, expandable to six. The practical galley is equipped with a gas stove with oven, an electric refrigerator, and hot water via an Isotemp boiler. Comfort is also ensured with Webasto hot air heating, indoor and outdoor showers, and a generous water supply of 300 liters. The reliable Volvo Penta MD2030 diesel engine (29 hp) with saildrive is known for its durability, comfort, and low fuel consumption. The owner had annual engine maintenance performed and the vessel was stored dry indoors every winter. The 12 mm teak deck is in reasonably good condition; however, the rubber seams of the deck require some attention. In terms of navigation equipment, Bluebird is fully equipped with Raymarine ST60 Tridata, Raymarine ST4000 autopilot, Lowrance Elite 7 chartplotter/GPS, AIS Class B transceiver, radar, Navtex, two VHF radios, and a liferaft that underwent its last inspection in 2024. This makes the yacht ready for longer coastal and offshore sailing trips. An important advantage is the extensive documentation. We have all relevant original ship documents, manuals, maintenance information, and invoices. Additionally, there is an official VAT declaration from Dutch Customs confirming the VAT status of the vessel unequivocally. In summary, this Bavaria 34-2 combines proven quality, excellent sailing characteristics, complete equipment, and an exceptionally well-maintained history. An ideal cruiser for sailors who want to enjoy comfortable and safe trips on both inland and offshore waters without significant investments right away.
