After 25 years of ownership, our 45-foot sailboat is now for sale. Are you looking for a sailboat with capacity for comfortable long-distance sailing or charter operations? Then this is a unique opportunity. The sailboat is a Columbie 451 ketch in 1984 designed by Petter G. Lie and cast in strong fiberglass at Stege shipyard in Denmark. Forty-five were built throughout the 1980s and most of them are still sailing. The Norwegian Veritas classified the boat for "Worldwide chartering". It is solidly built and resembles a Swan both inside and out and is ideal for long-distance sailing. The Columbie 451 is known for its seaworthiness with its 16 tons, of which 6.75 tons are cast in the keel, she sails well and is stable. The hull is laminated, about 40 mm thick and with 1 meter high guardrails. Length 13.8 m, width 4.45 m, draft 2.1 m. Ford industrial engine type 2722 85 hp, consumption 1 liter diesel/nm at 7 knots. Below deck she is equipped with 10 beds in 5 cabins, 2 toilets and a separate shower as well as a spacious salon and large galley with double refrigerators and washing machine.
