The boat has a fin keel and a rudder with a skeg. The keel is relatively long. The Melody is a very well sailing boat built for blue water sailing and can salvage itself in all kinds of weather, and many of them therefore sail in deep waters. Originally the mainsail is the same size as now, but the genoa is approx. 55m². The Genoa is included. The foresail has a furling forestay. Also included is approx. 120m² spinnaker. Engine: 36hp Volvo Penta MD 17C with fixed propeller. Furnishings: Very spacious main cabin with two good berths. The backrests can be raised and form two more berths. Large forecabin with two berths and cupboards. The fore berths have been extended compared to the originals. Corridor with cupboard and toilet. Under the cockpit there is an aft cabin with two berths. These have also been converted to a larger width. In the pantry on the port side there are two sinks, a stove with oven and a cooler. There is new foam in the cushions in the fore and aft cabins. The cover here is a woolen horse blanket. The cover in the main cabin is beige microfiber. Tanks: 2 x 100l water in steel tanks and 90l diesel. 50l holding tank Equipment: Raymarine RC435i chartplotter, Garmin Fishfinder 160 echo sounder, Sailor RT 2048 VHF, McMurdo Fast Find 220 PLB, Hand bearing compass, Binoculars, Autohelm 2000 self-steering, 2 anchors, one of which has 50m chain, fenders, HondaWave 280 inflatable with V-bottom, two folding bicycles Improvements: Berths in forward cabin extended, holding tank, aft cabin extended over engine, jib boom mounted, additional grabs in main cabin, the original plastic windows in the deckhouse have been replaced with tempered glass windows in aluminum frames Ongoing maintenance: The boat is on land.
