The folk boat "Frøken Himmelblå" is for sale. (NEW PRICE) The boat is originally from 1977 and is ready for both touring and racing. I have had the boat for 16 years, using the boat for weekly evening sailing, touring and challenging single-hand sailing -Silverrudder (called the ironman of the sea - solo sailing around the island Funen) - 28 hours and 42 minutes in 2015 and 31 hours and 19 minutes in 2016. As an old skilled craftsman, I have also enjoyed keeping the boat in good condition and having fun making ongoing improvements to the boat - see this link: https://www.folkebaad.dk/forsker-til-hverdag-og-folkebaadsentusiast-i-fritiden/ Almost all the accommodation and wood have been changed. There is a new helmsman's chair in teak, new chest benches with teak, a new door, a new sliding cover, a new beautiful gangway for the main sheet that curves upwards like a wing - see this link: https://www.folkebaad.dk/loejgang-med-konsol/ The cabin has also been refitted with a new head bulkhead, new bunks and beautiful cushions in alcantara and with canvas/sling gear for the bunks, so you can sleep safely or avoid bags and other gear falling out of the bunks while sailing. The mast is made of wood and is continuously maintained with paint and looks really nice. The boom is made of aluminum and there are two spinnaker stays. One stay is 290 cm long and is mostly used for racing, while the other spinnaker stay is 235 cm long and is good other that downwind sailing. In addition, the entire fender strip and the scuttle have been replaced - also in teak. The original steel support for the mast has been replaced with new stainless-steel structures. This solution is far better than the original of iron/steel, which rusts. The rudder has also been renovated and at the same time the rudder was made into a profile rudder with a sloping rear edge making the least drag and far better steering performance. The boat looks is well maintained, with a nice cockpit, nice cabin and good new/newer sheets and sails. The boat can easily be sailed singlehanded, as there are actually three systems for self-steering. Firstly, the rudder can be set in a fixed position, secondly, a simple “sheet to tiller” can be used and thirdly, an electric self-steering is included. The engine has run a maximum of 30 hours. In the years I have had the boat, I have taken really good care of the boat. The boat is completely ready for new experiences with sailing, racing, holidays or you just want to enjoy a cup of coffee and a nap in a nice boat. Of course, I find it a little difficulty to sell boat. However, the time has come for me to do something else and therefore I hope that someone else can enjoy the boat and take good care of Frøken Himmelblå. Feel free to call or write for a chat or a test on the water. I speak English. Kind regards Erik Extra equipment Two sets of of Doyle sails - one set has a triradial jib and is very good for racing, while the other set is for cruising. Cockpit/harbour tarpaulin.
