The British shipyard Oyster Marine has been building exclusive, reliable "Go anywhere" cruisers for over 50 years, designed for worldwide voyages and can be found in the most remote waters of the world. Bluewater sailing with style and luxury is the proven concept that the shipyard has developed in collaboration with in-house designer Rob Humphreys. One particularly versatile model is the Oyster 575. Large enough for circumnavigations with all comforts or extended stays on board, yet so manageable that it allows private owners and their families to handle it effortlessly without the assistance of a professional crew. The shipyard built 66 units until 2018, making the Oyster 575 one of Oyster Marine's most successful types. Its sophisticated deck layout, cleverly divided cockpit with two steering stations and the guest area in front of it, large tank volumes and storage spaces, as well as the high standard of boat construction and technical installations, make the Oyster 575 a popular vessel for the Oyster World Rally, a fleet voyage around the globe organized specifically for Oyster owners by the shipyard. The Oyster 575 offered here, hull number #011, was acquired in 2019 by the current, technically savvy owner and underwent an extensive refit for the Oyster World Rally 2022/2023. A new VOLVO PENTA engine was installed, an exclusive NORTH 3Di sail wardrobe was acquired, the navigation system was completely upgraded to B&G, and a variety of sensible modifications were made both on and below deck. In particular, the communication electronics were upgraded with a satellite phone, SSB, two independent VHF radios, Navtex, weather decoder, etc. Even after returning from the Oyster World Rally, the owner spared no expense or effort to keep the yacht in top condition. The Oyster 575 is stored in indoor winter storage every year and is continuously lovingly maintained and technically serviced.
