The ship was designed by Horst Glacer in 1975. The steel construction, wooden superstructures, including a 15mm rod deck, were completed by Lübbe and Voss in 1976. The interior was installed by the previous owner over the following 9 years. The ship was launched in 1985. Originally equipped with a gaff wooden rig and a Mercedes diesel engine. In 1995, the diesel engine was replaced with a Perkins MT80 with a Velvet gearbox. Since September 2011, the ship has been in my possession. In 2016, part of the rod deck was renewed and regrouted. In 2020, the underwater hull was blasted, painted, and coated with hard antifouling. During this process, a bow thruster SE215/115 with 24 volts was also installed. Until 2021, the ship was derigged for winter and stored in a hall (wooden masts). In 2022, the wooden masts were replaced with new aluminum masts including shrouds, stays, and turnbuckles. The production of new sails also involved the renewal of running rigging. Chart plotter and display devices were newly installed in 2023. In 2024, a Webasto cabin heater was installed. In June 2025, the ship was coated with a new long-term antifouling (according to the shipyard, lasting 36 to 60 months). In October 2025, the boat will be placed in the winter berth with the masts standing.
