Jeanneau Fantasia 27 – Compact sailboat with thoughtful layout and stable sailing characteristics The Jeanneau Fantasia 27 is a French-made sailboat, designed by the renowned designer Philippe Harlé and built by the well-known shipyard Jeanneau. This specific model was built in 1983 and has since been used on inland waters, lakes, and coastal areas. With a length of 8.30 meters and a beam of 2.90 meters, this yacht offers a balanced combination of sailing performance and onboard comfort. Dimensions and construction The hull of the Jeanneau Fantasia 27 is made of polyester and has a round bilge hull shape. The draft is 1.50 meters, making the boat suitable for both shallower inland waters and coastal waters. The air draft is approximately 12 meters, allowing it to pass under most bridges. The weight of the boat is about 2,400 kg, with a ballast of around 900 kg, contributing to stability while sailing. Steering is done through a tiller in the open cockpit. The rudder is single and located under the hull. The cockpit features seat cushions, a custom-made cockpit table, and a cockpit tent, enhancing comfort while sailing and anchoring. Interior and accommodation Inside, the Jeanneau Fantasia 27 offers a headroom of 1.80 meters. The layout is practical and focused on optimal use of available space. There are two fixed berths and two additional berths, making the boat suitable for overnight stays with a small group. The forepeak is set up as a sleeping area, while the salon benches can be converted into extra beds. To port is a compact galley with a two-burner stove, sink, and storage space. The refrigerator is integrated into the interior. The heads compartment features a manual toilet with direct discharge to open water. A heater is present for onboard heating, allowing stays on board even in cooler seasons. Engine and technology The boat is equipped with a 9 hp Yanmar inboard diesel engine, with one cylinder and electric start. The engine is from the same year as the boat (1983) and has recorded 1,345 running hours. In 2025, the engine underwent a major service. The fuel tank has a capacity of 27 liters, with an average consumption of around 0.5 liters per hour. The cruising speed is around 6 km/h, with a maximum speed of approximately 8 km/h. The electrical system was renewed in June 2025. There are two batteries on board, powered by a solar panel, shore power connection, and an inverter. Thanks to the solar panel, it is possible to sail autonomously for 3 to 4 days without shore power. Navigation and equipment In terms of navigation, the boat is equipped with an autopilot, depth sounder, compass, log/speedometer, VHF radio, and wind gauge. The speedometer and wind gauge are currently not functioning. The autopilot is present but has not been used yet. The sail plan consists of a mainsail, genoa, and spinnaker. The headsail is equipped with a furling system, while the mainsail has a reefing system. The mast is aluminum, and there is one mast. The condition of the sails is described as functional. Additional equipment and accessories The boat comes with various accessories, including: 1 anchor with chain 6 fenders 4 mooring lines + 4 spare mooring lines Cockpit cushions 3 winch handles Custom-made cockpit table Cockpit tent Solar panel Shore power cable Spare lines 2 genoa sheets Use and sailing experience The Jeanneau Fantasia 27 has been used in the past for day trips, weekend getaways, and vacations.
