Sailingboat for sale
Description
I am selling an OE 32. The OE 32 was designed by the legendary Olle Enderlein, who also designed the early Hallberg-Rassys (Monsun, Rasmus, etc.). He designed both the OE 32 and the OE 36, with the aim of creating the perfect long-distance cruiser in the 32 – and he most certainly succeeded. This boat model has now been chosen for and featured twice in the "Golden Globe Race" – a non-stop, round-the-world race using “old-school” methods. It’s a solid sailor, and this particular boat takes things to the next level. "Kairos" has already circumnavigated the globe once, and made a return trip to Brazil. I am the fifth owner. Over the years, she has been upgraded with the goal of ocean crossing in mind. A detailed list of equipment (in Swedish) is available upon serious request, but here are some highlights: Highfield UL240 dinghy with aluminum floor (2016) (patched once, holds air) Osmosis treatment in 2017, epoxy coated and painted with Jotun SeaForce 90 390 Ah battery bank + starter battery Bow thruster (Sidepower, 2009) Aerogen wind generator (Serviced in 2017) 290-watt solar panels Lombardini LDW 1404 engine (2019), 35 hp – only 26 hours Sailomat 700 wind vane Spectra watermaker – 27 liters/hour Genoa and mainsail are Doyle Ocean Plus sails from 2016; jib is old Electric windlass (Lewmar Profish 1000, 2010), new seals in 2017 15kg Rocna anchor and 10kg Bruce anchor Bimini (2017) 3x75L freshwater tanks Jabsco toilet & septic tank (2014) Cap shrouds replaced in 2015 & aft lower shrouds in 2017 Selden Furlex 200S Two electric autopilots: Raymarine EVO 1 (2017) and Raymarine ST2000S AIS receiver Two diesel tanks (total 230L) with diesel level sensor from 2014 100L fridge (2013) Lazyjacks Four Lewmar winches – two are self-tailing Two Selden whisker poles All lines led to the cockpit Plastimo Transocean ISO life raft for 4 people (2015) – needs servicing Original Isomat boom and mast Cockpit floor opens fully for easy engine access VHF ICOM M423 DCS (2015) with masthead antenna Radar: Furuno 1715 (2007) Swim platform on starboard aft Partially insulated Work done this year (2025): New starter battery New toilet pump New oil filter and oil change Jib repaired by professional sailmaker In 2024, the boat was hauled out and the hull inspected. New antifouling and zinc anodes were applied. Known issues: The bow thruster gearbox is broken (repair cost ~DKK 5000) Bearings in the wind generator are worn – it makes a rumbling noise (still works and produces power) A small pump needs replacement No forward navigation LED One plexiglass window in the doghouse is hard to see through – should be replaced Life raft needs servicing Electrical system is old, but working (no GPS) Some galvanic corrosion on the original boom, but not structurally significant. If planning long voyages, consider replacing the boom (~DKK 10,000 for a Selden boom for this model) The boat also shows signs of wear. It’s an older, well-used vessel, so cosmetic issues should be expected. I haven’t had time to fix them. All in all, this is a fantastic boat with great potential to take you far. I bought her with those intentions myself, but I simply don’t have the time or funds to keep her now. Plenty of spare parts available for all equipment on board. Original documents and receipts included. Serious offers are welcome if the listed price doesn’t match your expectations. The boat is located in Copenhagen. P.S. In some of the photos, the pulpit and anchor roller are missing – they had been removed for work by a professional metalworker.
