Description

For sale is this unique and well-preserved retro sailboat, executed with attention to detail and beautiful maritime craftsmanship. It features a practical and modern layout that maximizes the boat's potential 100%. Typically, you would need to go over 30-35 feet to achieve the same practical use of space, good headroom (approximately 172cm), 5 berths, U-shaped seating area with table, kitchen/pantry with two gas burners and electric refrigerator, toilet, and sink. Every detail has been carefully considered both inside and out, making the boat feel larger than others of the same size, with all space utilized efficiently, including various storage compartments, on its 8 meters in length and 2.80 meters in width. It boasts very reliable and stable sailing characteristics, suitable for both cruising and racing, and is very easy to handle, even for beginners. Several sails are included, all in good condition with plenty of sailing hours left, along with a spinnaker. The boat is equipped with a durable 8hp Yanmar diesel inboard engine that starts and runs smoothly. It has a new oil heater installed, and also comes with an autopilot, GPS/chartplotter, and VHF radio, all in working order. The (lll) Trio 80 is a Swedish-built boat originally designed and built by a skilled boat builder who simply wanted to create an excellent boat for himself. Two members of his family also wanted one each, so initially only 3 were made. Hence the name Trio 80 (lll = 3 pieces, 8 meters long). They quickly found that they often outperformed other boats in races, leading to more people wanting a similar boat. This led to the production of the Trio 80, with only around a couple of hundred ever made. It's evident that the boat was built thoughtfully by someone with sailing expertise and a keen eye for practical details, maritime craftsmanship, and top quality.
