Description

Check out the video of single-handed sailing (copy the line into your browser): https://photos.app.goo.gl/HKnBxeNZQKLgSrcV6 Dimensions: 10.06 x 2.47 x 1.65m, 3.35 tons, approx. 45sqm More information: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/international-1006/ This is one of the youngest OL33 = International 10.06 - built by Danish boat builders with craftsmanship pride in the mid-80s. The interior is brighter than that of sister ships with white cabin ceiling and cabinet doors. She sails extremely gently, fast, and on a stable course. You feel completely safe with her soft movements in any wind and wave conditions. The backstays can be attached further forward depending on conditions, so they do not need to be adjusted during tacks and jibes. The flush deck provides an immediate sailing sensation. You are more aware of your surroundings instead of looking at the cabin bulkhead. Yet, there is weather protection for cozy trips with removable small sprayhood and rail covers. The design by the Dane Borghegn reflects the influence of his mentor Poul Molich, who created classic icons with Sparkman & Stevens and German Frers, among others. Borghegn also incorporated newer influences at the time, such as Doug Peterson. She excels on a beat, especially in waves, purring to windward. The genoa is suitable for winds from 0-5 Bft, while the jib is good from 1-2 Bft. Both serve as all-round sails for the entire season. The screenshot in the gallery showcases the impressively tight tacking angle. Downwind, thanks to her modern U-spant, the OL does not tend to oscillate like, for example, the seemingly similar Aphrodite 101 with trapezoidal spant. Overall, the OL has a more timeless hull shape and slightly more beam and freeboard, making her more stable in comparison. The interior finish is significantly more refined and spacious. The OL is overall of higher quality. This OL has been sailed very little over the years, never tampered with, and has received knowledgeable care from a single owner, an architect in Copenhagen, for almost the entire time. This is evident in the stylishly classic Scandinavian interior of "oh elle." She has been sailed with care and is in very good condition for her age. She is an icon of the golden age of Danish yacht building. The high-quality genoa I-II with UV protection is from the Swedish sailmaker Boding, the mainsail with Lazy-Bag is from North and in good condition (see photo), the jib made of ProRadial with UV protection is from 2022. The good all-round gennaker (A2) is from North and originates from a French Alphena One. Additionally, there is a spinnaker sock. If needed, a good spinnaker could be included optionally. The simple Volvo diesel engine is regularly serviced and the boat's second engine. In the forepeak, there is a pump toilet without a tank, currently decommissioned. There is also a stove and sink. Although there is a GPS onboard, we have never used it as we found the map display on a phone or tablet more practical. We also found the lack of a depth sounder/log acceptable given the quality of electronic charts for our use. However, transducers are installed, so retrofitting would cost a few hundred euros. The cockpit tent with frame and windows is almost new. For winter, there is a deck frame. An optional dismantlable storage rack is available if needed. Please do not expect a new boat. There are scratches, signs of wear, and other imperfections. However, this is the most beautiful OL I have ever seen during many travels and years of monitoring the market. The boat will be in a shed near Flensburg Fjord at least until May. Private sale. No returns. I exclude any liability for defects. Liability for damages due to injury to health, body, or life, and for grossly negligent and/or intentional breaches of my duties as a seller, remains unaffected.
