Dreaming of a long-distance sailing adventure on a modest budget? Then this Sagitta 35, designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built at Sagitta Boats in Svendborg, Denmark in 1972, might be just the boat for you. This vessel is thoroughly equipped for extended cruising and living aboard — whether you're headed for warm or cold climates. Most of the hull is insulated with 30mm Armaflex, covered in durable off-white PVC cladding. A Wallas diesel heater is installed, specifically chosen for its very low power consumption — ideal for high-latitude sailing or comfortable off-season voyages. The insulation also helps keep the cabin cool in summer and significantly reduces engine noise in the cockpit. The boat is set up for long-term off-grid cruising, with solar panels, a water generator, Hydrovane windvane, and a watermaker (currently dismounted and unused since 2015). It’s an ideal platform for single-handed sailing or cruising with up to four people. I’m selling the boat due to unforeseen personal circumstances. The Sagitta 35, both this boat and the class as a whole, has repeatedly proven itself as an offshore-capable cruiser, including two circumnavigations (S/Y Jonna) and, most recently, a trip along the rugged Norwegian west coast. She has a superb motion at sea and is a rock-solid sailboat that stays steady and comfortable in almost any weather. With a reefed mainsail and reduced genoa, she handles a North Sea gale with confidence. In 2015, the boat was upgraded with a new mast and rig from Seldén, heavier and more robust than the original Sagitta 35 rig. The Quantum cruising sails are also from 2015 and have been used very little considering their age. They are of excellent quality and the UV protection is still fully intact — these sails have many seasons of life left. The sail inventory includes a mainsail, roller genoa (Furlex 200S), and a cutter sail (also on Furlex 200S) — but no spinnaker. The cutter stay and furler can be easily removed for shorter trips — no need to take the mast down. Tank capacities: Freshwater: 120 liters Diesel: 80 liters The engine is a freshwater-cooled Yanmar 3GM30F (1996), overhauled in 2014 and fully serviced again in 2023 by KKE Motor, Skovshoved. At that time, it also received a new Gori two-speed 3-blade folding propeller and a new seawater filtration system. There’s no record of engine hours prior to my ownership, but it has been meticulously maintained under my care (since 2022), and it runs and starts perfectly. Ground tackle includes: Bow anchor with 50m of 8mm chain and Lofrans X2 windlass Stern anchor: ALU Fortress anchor with chain and leaded rope The boat is largely kitted out with Raymarine electronics, including: AIS transponder (Raymarine 650) Axiom 7 chartplotter (2024) Ray 74 VHF (2025) Quantum 2 radar (2025) Hydrovane windvane steering (2025) X10 autopilot Electronic barometer (2025) DST810 Smart Triducer (2025) (log, depth, temp) And, of course, a classic magnetic compass There is a pressurized water system and pump, so you can enjoy a cold-water deck shower aft — or use the bidet-style feature in the toilet compartment. Safety gear includes: Brand new 4-person Hero ISO 9650-1 OFFSHORE liferaft in container (2025) EPIRB (2025) One powder fire extinguisher Two Fire Stryker fire suppression sticks In autumn 2023, the bottom was treated with Coppercoat, and it's working flawlessly as advertised by the manufacturer (link). No need for antifouling for the next 6–8 years — just an annual or semi-annual scrub with a scouring pad. A detailed equipment list is available upon request, and you're welcome to ask questions by SMS to (+45) 4020 4662. Note: I don’t answer calls from unknown numbers to avoid spam — but I’m happy to chat about the boat and answer any questions once I’ve received a short SMS with a declaration of interest.
