KIEL CLASSIC 33t Weekender – classic lines, high-end equipment, impeccably maintained For sale: a KIEL CLASSIC 33t, built 2008 – a timeless weekender from a German yard that combines classic lines with modern equipment and genuine comfort for longer trips. Expression, aesthetics and perfection – that is exactly what you’ll find on this boat, in well-kept and lovingly maintained condition. This is not just a Sunday boat; it is built to be used: lovely afternoons on the water, relaxed weekend trips or even holidays of several days are easily possible with this layout and equipment – which is exactly how we use it ourselves. CONDITION AND MAINTENANCE The boat has been stored indoors every winter and has been very well looked after throughout. For the last two winters it has also been professionally refurbished at the yard. The engines have just been inspected and serviced. Invoices are available for all work – the history is fully documented. Work carried out in recent years: 2023: Z-Drive overhauled 2023: New propellers 2023: New steering cylinder and power steering compressor 2024: New shift cylinder 2024: New shift cables 2024/2025: Various woodwork and varnishing 2025: All batteries replaced 2025: New gas struts for the cockpit locker 2025: Canopy re-stitched, new zips 2026: Fresh oil change 2026: All belts, filters and impellers replaced 2026: Port exhaust elbow replaced In addition, small parts have been replaced and paintwork carried out on an ongoing basis to keep the boat permanently in well-kept and technically flawless condition. HANDLING AND PERFORMANCE The KIEL CLASSIC is handcrafted on the Schlei, close to the Baltic Sea – and you can feel it on the water. The hull gets onto the plane effortlessly and cuts cleanly through the waves rather than slamming. Over 35 knots is possible, but the boat is much more relaxed at lower speeds. At cruising speed between 20 and 30 knots, consumption is around 2.5 l/nm – with 700 litres of diesel on board, longer passages are no problem. Thanks to the Z-Drives, the draft can be reduced to as little as 0.6 m depending on the waters. With the Volvo bow thruster and Sidepower stern thruster (2019), berthing is stress-free even in wind – even single-handed, without an extra hand on deck. The Sidepower docking system (2019) makes it even easier: bow and stern thrusters can be locked together to port or starboard, so the boat moves practically sideways onto the jetty. Once you’ve sailed alone or as a couple with it, you won’t want to be without it. LAYOUT AND COMFORT The well-thought-out layout offers plenty of seating and lots of storage. The lowering cockpit table makes room for a convertible sunbed when needed – ideal for relaxing hours in the sun. The canopy frame can also be fully stowed under a hatch in the teak deck, leaving a completely clear, uncluttered cockpit when the top is open. The bathing platform is generously sized but deliberately not oversized, blending harmoniously with the classic lines of the hull. Inside and out you’ll find the finest materials and clean workmanship: varnished mahogany inside and on the exterior superstructure, a black Corian washbasin, and a white Corian galley unit with a cover over the two-zone ceramic hob, plus a large fridge drawer. Upholstery inside and out in anthracite with red piping (new 2017) and dimmable LED ceiling lights create a pleasant atmosphere on board.
