The Zuidkaper 40 is a quality yacht with an impressive appearance: rugged and robust, yet stylish and comfortable. Wide side decks and the wheelhouse with a beautiful view make life under sail a fantastic sailing experience. The wheelhouse is a real eye-catcher; in bad weather, there is a dry, warm, and safe place for everyone inside. The construction and welding are more reminiscent of commercial shipping than yacht building. The optimal length/width ratio offers surprisingly ample space for contemporary comfort. The boat is highly suitable for long distances, especially with a small crew (shorthanded), and for living aboard. The panoramic deck salon with interior steering contributes to this. The retractable sword allows for sailing in shallow waters. The Zuidkaper differs slightly from the Noordkaper (slightly narrower stern and less sheer) and holds the same ocean-worthy status. The hull of both ships is identical. The hull is coated in a coppercoat epoxy system. This ship was built on behalf of the first (and still current) owner and is equipped with all conceivable options. The ship was built under CE class A suitable for ocean voyages. VAT has been demonstrably paid with a Dutch customs declaration.
