(This removes the single largest problem you will probably face when buying a second hand 42DS) - Underwater hull taken down to old epoxy and checked for osmosis, added 5 layers of new epoxy and full Hempel Silic One treatment - Cutlass bearing and Volvo drive shaft gasket replaced - Rudder taken off and checked for rudder bearing wear - Major through-hull fittings and valves replaced - Design flaw on transom fixed; replaced old plywood on transom with fiberglass and replaced teak on top with synthetic flexiteek - Leaking stanchion bases re-caulked All season sailing We prefer sailing off-season, so we equipped Calacimbre for all season sailing and living on board in the Med. The following features provides this ability; - Full weather proof cockpit enclosure - 400w solar panels with Lifepo4 batteries and inverter - Airconditioning in all cabins - New and very comfortable mattresses - Washing machine - Rocna anchor and new 10mm chain Flag and VAT status She was transferred to Norwegian flag in 2018, and VAT status remains unpaid. For non-EU citizens the yacht can easily be kept on temporary import in the EU, and VAT needs not to be paid. For EU citizens it is just to pay VAT on top of the agreed price. She is registred in the official Norwegian ship regristry NOR, and may be transferred to any flag or regristry.
