Bavaria 36-3 – well-maintained and ready-to-sail 3-cabin cruiser This 1999 Bavaria 36-3 is an exceptionally well-kept example of one of Bavaria's most successful cruisers. With her three spacious cabins, roomy saloon featuring a longitudinal galley, comfortable cockpit, and excellent sailing performance, she is perfectly suited for both longer vacations and weekend or coastal sailing. The current owner has meticulously maintained the boat over the past few years and made significant upgrades. Investments have been made not only in technology and sails but also in preserving the ship's appearance and integrity. The boat has recently undergone professional cosmetic treatment, presenting herself remarkably fresh for her age. Recently maintained and upgraded The sail wardrobe includes a mainsail from M-Sails from 2021, a roller genoa from 2022 with a renewed UV strip from 2026, and an almost unused gennaker of approximately 72 m². Deck investments have also been made in recent years. The sprayhood, cockpit cover, and wheel cover were renewed in 2025 and are in excellent condition. The standing and running rigging has largely been replaced in 2026. The Volvo Penta MD2030-C diesel engine with 29 hp is coupled to a saildrive with a three-blade propeller. The saildrive seal was replaced in 2023. The engine is easily accessible for maintenance, and the boat is equipped with a Victron battery charger and recently renewed batteries. For navigation, Raymarine ST60 wind, speed, and depth instruments are present along with a Raymarine ST4000 autopilot. The current owner also utilizes an iPad with Navionics for modern chart navigation. Comfortable 3-cabin layout Below deck, the Bavaria offers surprisingly ample space. At the front is the owner's cabin, while at the rear are two separate double cabins. This provides six fixed sleeping places, with an additional possible sleeping area in the saloon. The bright and spacious saloon features a large seating area and table, with a practical longitudinal galley on port side equipped with a refrigerator, two-burner gas stove, and oven. On starboard side are the chart table and electrical switch panel. The wet cell includes a toilet and sink. An outdoor shower is also available on the swim platform. The interior upholstery was renewed in 2025, giving the interior a well-maintained and fresh appearance. Ready for a new sailing season In 2026, the hull, deck, cockpit, and transom were professionally cleaned and treated. The underwater section has also been maintained and antifouled. This is not a Bavaria 36 that requires the next owner to tackle a long list of overdue tasks; instead, it is a well-maintained and fully equipped sailing yacht that can be sailed immediately. An attractive choice for those seeking a reliable, spacious, and well-maintained cruiser with three cabins but who do not want to invest in necessary repairs typical of many vessels of this age. The Bavaria is located at the Regattacenter in Medemblik and can be viewed by appointment.
