Finn V-Boat Taifun X 1971 – Classic recreational boat with modern adaptations General overview The Finn V-Boat Taifun X from 1971 is a classic model from Finland, known for its characteristic V-bottom and well-balanced hull construction. These features provide agile sailing characteristics, making the boat suitable for various inland waters such as lakes, rivers, ponds, and canals. The boat is officially registered in Estonia under number VKF-400 and comes with all necessary documents, including registration papers for both the boat and the trailer. Dimensions and construction With a length of 4.5 meters and a width of 1.6 meters, the Finn V-Boat offers a compact yet functional layout. The hull is made of polyester and has been recently repainted with a multi-layer paint system, consisting of Teamac primer, two coats of paint, and two coats of varnish. The motor underwent a full inspection and adjustment in November 2025. The controls feature a modern throttle and gear shift tailored to this motor. The boat is equipped with a keyless start/stop system with a sequential safety algorithm. The dashboard controls include switches for navigation lights, interior lighting, USB charging points, instrument power, bilge pump, and horn. A notable detail is the presence of a tachometer that is currently non-functional due to compatibility issues with the motor. However, the tachometer is present and can be activated with the installation of a more recent motor. Electrical installation and instrumentation The electrical system operates on a 12V system and includes two new batteries with updated wiring. The onboard instruments consist of a fuel gauge and a voltmeter. A log/speedometer is available for navigation. The boat is equipped with an electric bilge pump for water drainage. Trailer and transportation The sale includes a road trailer with license plate 771YNN. The single-axle trailer measures 325 x 240 cm and weighs 350 kg. It is functional and equipped with a hand winch. Both the boat and the trailer are fully registered and suitable for transport.
