Van der Stadt – Strooker 900 Vita 30 “My Fair Lady” – Characterful Sailing Yacht The Van der Stadt – Strooker 900 Vita 30 “My Fair Lady” is a characterful, solidly built classic cabin sailing yacht from 1995. This exceptional vessel was constructed by Vreugdenhil’s Jachtenbouw in Alphen aan den Rijn, based on design number 409 by E.G. van de Stadt. The combination of a Red Cedar woodcore/glass-reinforced epoxy hull, oak frames, a dark blue hull, and a warm mahogany/oak interior gives this ship a distinctive appearance. With a length of 9.25 meters, a beam of 3.15 meters, and a draft of 1.50 meters, the Vita 30 offers an excellent balance between sailing performance, comfort, and practical usability. The fixed lead keel and a displacement of approximately 4,000 kg contribute to its solid and stable character. Steering is done traditionally with a tiller, and it is equipped with a Navico TP100 autopilot. On deck, the prominent teak deck runs over the foredeck, side decks, aft deck, and cockpit. Additionally, “My Fair Lady” features a bimini top, guardrails, a pulpit and pushpit, swim ladder, swim platform, winter cover, and two Bruce anchors. The aft cockpit is equipped with a movable cockpit table and provides a pleasant spot to enjoy the outdoors while sailing or at anchor. The interior is typical of a classic Dutch sailing yacht: warm, atmospheric, and finished in mahogany and oak. The spacious salon has two settees and a cabin table. There are two sleeping areas with a total of four fixed berths: a V-berth in the fore cabin and a double berth in the aft cabin. Additionally, the settees can be used as two extra sleeping places. The accommodation is complemented by a 100-liter water tank, an electric compressor refrigerator, a two-burner ENO gas stove with oven, and a Wallas Marin petroleum heater. Propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 2GM20 diesel engine with approximately 16 hp continuous power and 18 hp peak power, coupled to a Yanmar Kanzaki KM2P gearbox and folding propeller shaft. There are two VARTA batteries on board along with shore power with battery charger and battery monitor. The navigation equipment includes a Garmin GPSMAP 722 Plus from 2021, Furuno GPS Navigator, Silva depth sounder, and Navico autopilot. For the sailor, there is an aluminum mast with four sails including a mainsail and Hagoort Sails High Aspect jib of 20.2 m² from 2022. An older Dacron genoa and cruising chute are also available. The five manual Lewmar winches complete the rigging. The current owners describe “My Fair Lady” as a characterful and solidly built one-off sailing yacht with excellent sailing qualities—ideal for enthusiasts of classic wood-epoxy yachts. The vessel has been regularly hauled out for maintenance; the last antifouling was done in 2025, and engine oil and filters have been replaced annually. Please note: the hull coating and anchor locker require some maintenance. Additionally, the gas installation and shore power system need to be updated to current standards. Some electrical/navigation systems are currently not functioning including the VHF radio, compass, and wind meter. An interesting classic Van der Stadt Vita 30 / Strooker 900 for those who value character, craftsmanship, wood-epoxy construction, and good sailing qualities. “My Fair Lady” is located at Delta Marina Kortgene's sales harbor and can be viewed by appointment.
