"A modern classic" - this description fits hardly any GRP classic as well as the Bianca 414 and its little sister Aphrodite 101. With its low freeboard, flush deck, sleek hull lines, and long overhang at the bow, the Kjærulff/Elvström designs from the seventies are still timeless beauties today. With a keel and a ballast of just under four tons, the yacht has a ballast ratio of approximately 50%, which, combined with the narrow hull (maximum width: only 2.90 m) and sleek stern, makes it an exceptionally easy-to-sail, stiff yacht. Reefing is only necessary beyond 20 knots of wind speed. This Bianca 414 is hull number #017, launched in 1981 at the Danish shipyard Bianca Yacht in Rudkøbing. Since 2019, the current owner has subjected the yacht to an extensive refit. The underwater hull was completely sanded down in 2022, and the underwater paint including epoxy primer was completely rebuilt. Among other upgrades, a lithium service battery with new charging technology was installed, an inverter was added, the navigation electronics were replaced, new sails were brought on board, a diesel heater and a new 35 l hot water boiler were installed. The standing rigging was renewed in the winter of 2025/2026. The Bianca 414 is in indoor winter storage on the Kiel Fjord and can be viewed by appointment at any time.
