Fröberg's Mahogany Motorboat Beautiful aft decker from Sweden. Designed by Dr. Harald Kjerrulf in 1926 and built by the FRÖBERG boatyard in LIDINGÖ, SWEDEN. Karl Fröberg was known at that time as one of Sweden's best boat builders, and this boat bore the number 43, being the first boat he built in 1926. Today, it is therefore a special rarity - unique in its combination of flexible use, space, documented history, and timeless elegance. The boat was intended as a coastal cruiser and therefore features a cozy, comfortable accommodation with a large cockpit and enough speed to achieve reasonable crossing times. Originally equipped with 2 masts and auxiliary sails, it was converted to a pure motorboat as early as 1974. The layout with a large center cockpit protected by a small windshield, an aft deck, and a large foredeck offers an exceptionally practical layout with plenty of space for up to 6 people. The boat is excellently maintained. The hull, planked with painted Honduras mahogany, is still completely original - without epoxy or coating. The companionway has a sliding hatch with a pair of tall doors made of painted mahogany. The aft deck is covered with painted planks, has a centrally located entry hatch to the companionway, and is surrounded by toe rails. All wooden elements are made of the same original mahogany and are in very good condition. A breathtaking boat and a real eye-catcher, boasting a detailed history and complete documentation. Attention on the water and interesting conversations in the harbor are guaranteed. The current owners wish to pass the boat on to new hands due to age - your chance for a rare opportunity... Technical data: Overall length 8.10m. Waterline length 7.80m. Beam 2.00m. Draft 0.70m Volvo Penta MB16, 50 HP, 4-cylinder gasoline engine, installed around 1974. The engine has been regularly serviced. 7 knots cruising speed, 11 knots maximum speed. 90-liter tank on the starboard side. Wheel steering system with cable connection to the rudder stock. 2×12-volt batteries for engine start and household appliances. Charging via the engine's alternator or shore power. The boat is equipped with a canvas cover, a full harbor cover, and complete safety equipment for 4 adults and 2 children. Small stainless steel sink with a 2-burner gas stove.
