Description
The Aquila boasts excellent sailing characteristics while being surprisingly spacious both above and below deck. I am particularly impressed with the craftsmanship of the hull and other laminated parts. Boats are not built as solidly as this anymore. All halyards and sheets are led into the cockpit, allowing for a relaxed single-handed sailing experience. We have also enjoyed family outings on the boat with four people on board, always feeling comfortable. The boat is currently located at the Sporthafen Dietrichsdorf in the Schwentine estuary and can be viewed at any time. I purchased the boat two years ago from its long-time previous owner. The boat is in used condition with age-related signs of wear. It has been partially renewed over the years. Technical specifications: Length overall: 8.30 m Beam overall: 3.00 m Draft: 1.65 m Weight: 2.6 t Year of construction: 1978 Recent significant upgrades include: - Underwater hull treatment Winter 2026 (down to the gelcoat, no osmosis!, new coating with VCTAR 2 and self-polishing antifouling) - New shrouds Spring 2026 - New outboard motor Parsun 9.8 including rail mount Summer 2025 - Table mount in cockpit Spring 2025 - A pair of mooring lines Spring 2025 - New cockpit cushions 2025 - New boom 2015 - 2x Andersen ST28 two-speed winches (2009) - Roller reefing system 2006 The original inboard engine (Yanmar YSB12) gave out last year and is still installed. Due to practicality, I opted for an outboard motor (Parsun 9.8) and am very satisfied with it. Maneuverability and speed are better than before, plus there’s no propeller resistance while sailing, making maintenance easier and more compact. Additional features of the boat include: - Gennaker - Self-steering system - Sprayhood (2013) - Main sail cover - Autohelm self-steering system - 12/220 Volt cooler - Victronic battery charger - Heating 220 Volt - Marine toilet - Gas stove - Freshwater tank with foot pump for the bathroom and hand pump for the kitchen - Anchor - Various documents (invoices, certificates, and contracts from 1980 to present) - Various additional 220 Volt sockets
