Our 'Gimle' is a well-maintained, well-equipped, and well-sailing 7/8 rigged, white X-342 X-Yacht with a tiller from 1990 purchased from X-Yachts in 2003 after a major upgrade. The last two winters, Gimle has undergone an extensive renovation at Walsteds Boatyard on Thurø, which included the following: 1. Installation of a brand-new Yanmar 29 HP 3YM30 diesel engine with a new Flexofold propeller, new propeller shaft, new bearing, new hoses and wires, and a new generator. New control panel with tachometer and operating hours, and lights and alarms in the cockpit. Installed in 2024. Investment 150,000 DKK - all amounts are including VAT. 2. All hull fittings have been changed to composite - Trudesign - in 2024. Investment 28,000 DKK. 3. The electrical system rebuilt from scratch by Walsteds' chief electrician with new Mastervolt components: Solar controller, Battery Mate, new Mastervolt charger and shunt, and Mastervolt Net with EasyView monitor in 2025. Investment 75,000 DKK. 4. 3 new carbon lead batteries of 100 Ah from 2025. 4,500 DKK, net. 5. All hoses to/from toilet/holding tank replaced in 2025. 14,061 DKK. 6. The rigging was inspected in 2025, and a new base plate for the mast, new backstays in Dynema, and forestay and backstay, and rigging screws, new mainsail halyard, and boom vang were installed - 41,898 DKK. Above the cabin entrance, 4 functioning Raymarine ST60 instruments from 2003 are installed: Autopilot, wind, log, and depth in a SeaTalk network with an older Raymarine C530+ plotter at the chart table and a powerful ST4000+ control unit in the cockpit. The SeaTalk network is integrated with a new NMEA 2000 Network with a new B&G V60 VHF with remote mic and AIS antenna at the masthead, a T7 B&G, and an older Simrad NSE 12 chart plotter, working on the NMEA 2000 network with data from Raymarine instruments, and a small robust Standard Horizon CP180 chart plotter with its GPS antenna and an AMEC 108-W AIS transponder with its antenna on the stern pulpit. All lanterns have been replaced with Lopolight LED lanterns, and new deck lights from Nordby were installed in the lower spreaders in 2025. Most cabin lights have been converted to LED. Gimle is also equipped with a 'SmartBoatOne' transponder, which wirelessly sends data to the mobile phone about the boat's position, battery voltage, temperature, bilge water level, bilge pump activity, trip log, tracking, etc. The sail wardrobe consists of: mainsail, roller jib, gennaker, and spinnaker from Jan Hansen, Quantum Sails in 2008 in good condition, and an older but very good roller genoa from North Sails from 2003. The Facnor R150 roller furling forestay is from 2014. In the cockpit, there are 8 winches, 4 of which are manual self-tailing and an Andersen self-tailing electric winch. In the bow, a Lofrans 1000 W anchor winch with remote control and an electric washdown pump for the stainless steel anchor chain is installed. Gimle has three anchors: The original 10 kg Bruce in stainless steel (spare) and a 20 kg S100 SPADE, now mounted as the bow anchor with 50 m of 8 mm stainless steel chain, and a Fortress FX-23 as a stern anchor with 25 m of 'Ankerolina' and lead line - and 30 m of 8 mm stainless steel chain. The anchor winch can be remotely operated with a wireless device or via the cable joystick at the engine instruments. In recent years - 2017 - a new ENO gas stove with oven and two burners with electric ignition and a new refrigeration compressor - 2017 - installed under the galley sink. Under the aft cabin, there is a hot water tank from 2003, where freshwater is heated via the engine's cooling water when the engine is running or via shore power. Teak in the cockpit was installed by X-Yachts in 2003. The sprayhood and sprayhood extension, which can easily be attached to the sprayhood and ends at the mainsheet, are from 2017, and the full cockpit tent and Lagoon cockpit table in the cockpit are from 2003. The cushions in the six berths/sofas - 2 in the forepeak, 2 in the main cabin, and 2 in the aft cabin - are the original in blue fabric with plastic springs underneath to prevent condensation. In the toilet, there is a small wardrobe for sailing gear, and the Jabsco toilet is connected to the holding tank in the bench with a deck suction on the deck and a pump, to the places where it is allowed to pump the holding tank's contents into the sea. At the chart table, a small warning light when the holding tank needs to be emptied... A bilge pump is installed in the floor, so you can take a shower with cold or hot freshwater. All installed in 2003. On the equipment list, it can also be mentioned: Removable gennaker pole for bow fitting, spinnaker pole with topping lift and downhaul and barber haul, boom brake, adjustment of the headsail sheeting point from the cockpit, Huawei internet router, internet radio, Hook&Moor flexible boat hook, buoy hook with rope, plenty of ropes, 5*10 l plastic jerry cans, service for 6 people, 2 pans and three pots, extra tiller and autopilot unit, latex top mattress in the forepeak, adjustable ceiling light, lifebuoy in the stern fitting, various safety and rescue equipment, and I have a lot of paper and electronic - C-Map and Navionics - charts and guides covering large parts of Norwegian (all the way to Nordkapp), Danish, Swedish, and Finnish waters, as well as large parts of the Baltic Sea with the Baltic countries and Poland and Germany, etc. I also have a very solid and well-maintained boat stand that fits the boat, at a very fair price if interested.
